		<description>I have always used the &quot;play dumb&quot; strategy, especially in taxis.  Sometimes I just don&#039;t feel like going through the motions.  I agree with David, when Chinese people don&#039;t think you have any idea what they are saying can make the conversation much more interesting.</description>

Not only can you save yourself from those same questions that always turn up when a Chinese person discovers a mandarin speaking foreigner, but I also enjoy listening to what people have to say when they think I can&#039;t understand them.
