I hear it is a spectacular event in one of China's former capitals. Though some locals (through CouchSurfing no less, yay CS!) have told me that the races were held last weekend. And they are not sure what kind of celebrations will be happening tomorrow. Any insight on this? I don't recall any drunken businessmen participating, but then I was in an all woman's boat and we plunged those paddles to that drum beat with a fury. This year I'm begging out ... it's one thing to paddle with people your age.
