I wanted to get some shots of the Spring Festival decorations before they came down. I was too lazy busy during the holiday to do so. Last night, at a loss for what to do, I grabbed my camera and headed out. aside: Why can’t cameras have cool nicknames? A guitar can be called an axe. I’d like to be able to say, I grabbed my (insert cool name here).
The gate to my community is the largest residential gate in China (everything in China has a size designation of some sort). I unintentionally captured some ghostly vehicles racing by. I’ve always wanted to try the cliche headlights/taillights shot. Voila, I have one without trying.
I apologize for not reading many blogs. School started last week and I have been tai mang le (very busy). My class of Grade 1s is the cutest. I may have to reconsider my dislike of male children.

You are right…went looking for camera slang and there are a lot of discussions out there about it, many saying that there need to be more terms…sounds like a possible contest to me.

Call it a ‘prick’. Think about the comedic value in that.
“I grabbed my prick and headed out.”
“I held up my prick to get a shot at the Lady’s Auxillary Meeting. The light wasn’t good, but I got some nice poses.”
“I swung my prick over my shoulder by the strap and whistled as I headed down to the park.”

I like the picture but I like to read your words too. This one, while not saying much, let us have a wee look at Mr. Stevo. A nice little look.
About the camera, why not just name it. Forget what other people call their cameras (or don’t call them). Just name yours, like people name their cars. Pick a name, significant or otherwise, and name your camera. Give each camera a different name.
And are you going to let us in on any of your students or classes? They sound like fun.

Male children are usually very cute and sweet until about Jr. high…then hormones cause males and females alike to morph into something I’d like to turn loose on my worst enemy.

Very nice picture. I love the decorations on the building. I will be getting a digital camera this summer. I really can’t wait.

AOS: Yes, that is a good idea.
amuirin: While humorous, prick isn’t creative (or shocking) enough. Maybe cock…
Corina: Thank you.
Ron, etc.: At times I try to be cool. I’m glad I succeeded.
Holley: I agree. Children should be sent to an underground bunker from Grades 7 thru 12, and then released when less hormone-ridden.
Mike: Thanks.
